Searching for the last name in the long list of MS Excel sheets can be irritating at times. You need not to search and scroll down for so long and hit your head. MS Excel gives you many tools to make your task easy. You just need to follow some easy steps and you can finish your work in 2-3 minutes rather than 10-15 minutes. The MS Excel tool also gives you the option to keep the last names in Alphabetical order.

Steps to Alphabetize (Sort Full Names) Last Names in Excel

Step 1: Open your MS Excel.

Step 2: Now, select the column header of “last name” from the sheet.

Step 3: Now, go to the right corner of the ribbon bar and click on A to Z sort & filters.

Step 4: Here you can convert the column in alphabetical order by clicking on sort A to Z. you can also do vice versa by clicking on sort Z to A.
